Gustave KELLER (1881–1922) A richly carved wooden elephant, with a removable back revealing a washbasin. Triangular silver plate (Minerva hallmark) on the inside inscribed ‘G. Keller, design registered on 17-06-86, no. 2, 22873’ H: 43 – L: 73 – D: 27 cm. Some minor signs of wear; the tusks are missing. A similar piece was sold at Sotheby’s, London, on 21 September 2021, lot 26.
