52. An early 18th-century wall cartel clock and its console in tortoiseshell veneer and brass Featuring a dynamic design, it has a chiselled bronze dial with white enamelled cartouches bearing black Roman numerals for the hours. Decorated with gilded and chiselled bronze elements such as cascades, feet and ornaments. The movement is signed on the plate: 'Jean Goddé l'Ainé, Paris'. (damage, missing parts, one front foot damaged, wear and tear, cracks, no key; movement needs servicing), 18cm wide, 42cm deep, 118cm high (7in wide, 16 1/2in deep, 46in high).
