A set of twelve damask napkins featuring fleurs-de-lis, second half of the 19th century. Made from silky, fine-weave linen damask with a beautifully contrasting design of large fleur-de-lis in an ombré effect, set along the sides and in the spandrels; framed by delicate geometric motifs and a scattering of small fleur-de-lis; the initials ‘SC’ are very finely embroidered in white in the centre of the napkin. Dimensions: 90 x 74 cm (in good condition)
