A set of fourteen damask napkins decorated with lily of the valley, late 19th century. Made from silky fine linen damask of exquisite fineness with a richly contrasting design, featuring a border of undulating ribbon with a bow holding a bouquet of lily-of-the-valley sprigs in each of the spandrels, interspersed with clusters of lily-of-the-valley. The initials ‘GB’ are very finely embroidered in white in the centre of the napkin. Dimensions: 91 x 75 cm (in fine condition)
