Description
Very large porcelain dish with a heraldic design for the Italian-Spanish market (Cantelmo-Stuart). China. Qianlong period (1736–1795), circa 1750. This very large dish is decorated in ‘Famille Rose’ enamels, with cascading flowers on the rim and a chain motif on the body. In the centre are painted the coat of arms attributed to the Cantelmo-Stuart family: Or, a lion Gules, a lambel Azure with three pendants over all. Dimensions: 41 cm. Two chips along the rim.
