Description
Porcelain plate with a coat-of-arms design for the Portuguese market (Sebastião Xavier da Gama Lobo), China. Qianlong period (1736–1795), circa 1770. The plate is decorated in ‘Famille Rose’ enamels; the rim is adorned with a frieze of garlands and the border features a geometric pattern imitating scales. In the centre are painted the coat of arms of Sebastião Xavier de Gama Lobo. Dimensions: 22 cm. Some wear to the decoration and a few chips on the reverse.
