A pair of lidded jars in Imari porcelain, decorated in blue and iron-red with peonies and pheasants amongst branches. The chiselled and gilded bronze mount features handles in the shape of bursting pomegranates, gadrooned friezes, and uprights with lion’s heads bearing rings, set upon a leaf-decorated base with openwork lambrequins. The mount is in the Louis XIV style and the porcelain is 18th-century Chinese. H. 33.5 cm – Diam. 27 cm
