A carved and gilded wooden console table, with a curving moulding featuring an openwork medallion depicting a woman’s profile, bordered by baskets of flowers, stylised bat wings and a garland of flowers. The foliage-decorated legs feature tightly coiled scrollwork with bearded male heads, joined by a crossbar with a large openwork shell motif. The top is of Campan marble. Regency period, c. 1730, attributable to the work of Jean-Bernard-Honoré Turreau, known as Toro.
