Description
A large pair of chiselled and gilded bronze candelabra with three leaf-motif arms, featuring scrollwork and chains resting on the heads of dromedaries stretching out in the shape of goats’ hooves, held in place by a wreath of flowers arounda quiver and resting on three reclining faun figures supporting a blued cassolette. The whole rests on a triangular base adorned with a drapery featuring tassels and on three spinning-top feet flanked by a frieze of acanthus leaves. Louis XVI style, 19th century, modelled on the piece by François Rémond held at the Louvre Museum (AO68961/2). H: 70 cm – Diam. 18.5 cm
