A wooden armchair with moulded, carved and gilded detailing. The medallion-shaped backrest, featuring a frieze of stylised heart-shaped motifs, the armrests with cuffs and the seat, bordered by a frieze of pilasters with floret-shaped connecting blocks, rests on tapered, fluted legs. Louis XVI period. Stamped ‘Jacob’, for Georges Jacob, who was admitted as a master on 4 September 1765. The upholstery is in blue lampas decorated with vases of flowers, fruit and garlands of pearls.
