Armchair with a square backrest in moulded, carved and gilded wood, decorated with a frieze of heart-and-arrow motifs and pilasters; the armrests feature cuffs and the side posts are in the form of inverted consoles. Rests on tapered, fluted and rudenté legs. Louis XVI period. Stamped by Georges Jacob, who was admitted as a master on 14 September 1765. The upholstery is in old gold and gold lampas, richly decorated with arabesques and flowers; at the centre is a medallion depicting Flora’s crown, surmounted by a chandelier and a garland of pearls.
