Late 19th–early 20th-century style, modelled on a design by François GIRARDON (1628–1715) A pair of moulded and carved stone Medici vases, known as the ‘Triumph of Amphitrite’, based on a model created for the northern parterre of the park at the Palace of Versailles and now held in the collections of the Louvre Museum (Inv. MR 3003). H. 110 cm – W. 80 cm – D. 80 cm (Including plinth: W. 100 cm – D. 85 cm) (Signs of wear, missing parts and restoration) Sold as described and in its current condition.
