Senior officer’s shako, artillery lieutenant-colonel.
The body is covered in national blue cloth with two criss-crossing braids—a wide silver one and a smaller gold one. Trim in gold braid. Gilded brass buttons and cannon motifs. Varnished crown, visor and brim. Silk inner lining (partly detached), marked ‘Flach’ in Strasbourg. Leather headband decorated with fine ironwork. With a remnant of the chin strap.
