Officer’s sabre of the general officer type.
Horn hilt with filigree. Copper-plated brass mountings, four-pronged guard decorated with a laurel motif, pommel adorned with three silver stars denoting the rank of Major General (later addition). Pommel monogrammed ‘SL’. Lenticular blade, type 1882, signed ‘de Couleaux’ in Klingenthal. Iron sheet scabbard with a single strap.
