German naval officer’s dagger. Synthetic ivory-effect tang, anchor-shaped guard and folding counter-guard. Lion’s head pommel. Straight blade with a ridge on the back, bearing the remains of the manufacturer’s mark ‘HOLLER’ from Solingen. Leather scabbard with two brass fittings. Length: 47 cm. ABE, composite construction based on a Model 1923 sabre, modified to remove the crossguard.
