Alphonse Mucha (1860–1939) – Job. 1900. Masters of the Poster. Original poster, lithographic print, unmounted. Plate: 29.5 x 22.5 cm; sheet: 40.9 x 29 cm. Grade A. The most famous Art Nouveau poster artist produced several illustrations for ‘Job’ cigarette paper, owned by the Bardou family. This is the best known of them, both for the richness of its printwork—featuring extensive gilding—and for its sensual, almost erotic subject.
