Entered service as a private in the 11½th Light Infantry Brigade on 13 Venôse, Year 7....until 1 October 1807.
Took part in the campaigns of Year 7 with the Army of the Rhine.... and Years 10, 11 and 12 in Saint-Domingue.
Wounded by a gunshot to the back of the neck... Taken prisoner of war by the British during the evacuation of Saint-Domingue; returned on 5 January 1807.
Broke his leg whilst on duty on... 1807.
