Description
Prince NAPOLEON VICTOR (1862–1926) THANK YOU CARD to the Crowned N, sent by Prince Napoleon Victor on 10 January 1908 to Mr Daguilhon Pujol. Modern frame. 18 x 24 cm. Prince Victor was the grandson of King Jérôme, the youngest brother of Napoleon I and Catherine of Württemberg. Through the line of succession, Prince Victor became the head of the Imperial House, as there were no other heirs descended from Napoleon I or his brothers. Indeed, King Joseph had had only daughters. Lucien had been disinherited by Napoleon I, and Louis’s line died out in 1879 with the death of the Imperial Prince. Consequently, Jérôme’s line was the only remaining dynastic line. Ref: Laetitia de Witt – Journal: Revue du Souvenir Napoléonien
