A rare OFFICER’S SABRE of the IMPERIAL GUARD, with a single-branch hilt engraved in relief. Filigree pommel. Long-tailed guard engraved with floral motifs. Slightly curved blade engraved with ‘GARDE IMPERIALE’ in lace-style lettering and traces of a crowned Imperial Eagle. Some traces of gilding with oxidation on the base of the blade. Brass scabbard with double straps and loop rings. First Empire period. Blade length: 77.5 cm.
