Cavalry sabre.
Brass handle, helmeted pommel.
Large brass guard decorated with the coat of arms of Argentina.
Single-edged curved blade, hollow with two sides, engraved "VIVE LA NATION" on one side and "VIVRE LIBRE OU MOURIR" on the other. Remains of bluing and very light gilding.
Leather scabbard with three brass fittings, in fairly good condition.
19th century.
Blade length: 73.2 cm. - Total length: 89.8 cm.
Fairly good condition, traces of oxidation.
