Description

Niki de SAINT PHALLE (1930–2002) An autograph letter from Niki de Saint Phalle to Marie-France Pestel-Debord, her solicitor, illustrated with a composition featuring figures and a sun “Dear Marie-France I thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done to help me resolve my many enormous problems. You’ve taught me to enjoy myself whilst doing things I found tedious, and even in difficult times you’ve reminded me: ‘To triumph without risk is to conquer without glory!’ I’m counting on you to be at the Pritzker Party on 10 May. You must be there! Let me know how many days you’ll be staying. I think Eustache has sent you the revised documents. Big hugs. Niki" Silkscreen print enhanced with ink and pastel on card 25 x 20 cm.
