Description
Jug
Made of glazed earthenware with a brown base. The body is globular and bulbous in shape, with a short neck ending in a rimmed lip. The tubular spout is accentuated by a coil that blends into the base of the neck, and the jug has a ringed handle on the back. Decorated with a rich pale yellow barolet design: a large, radiant central flower, framed by three flowering stems with foliage and beautiful scrolls forming stylised foliage. The neck is accented by a frieze of festoons, superimposed lines and a frieze of dots.
