Description
Jug
Made of glazed earthenware with a brown base. The body is ovoid in shape, with a short truncated conical neck ending in a flat, moulded rim. The tubular spout is accentuated by a coil that blends into the base of the neck, and the jug has a ringed handle on the back. Decorated with a barolet pattern of pale yellow motifs, forming a large, central, radiating flower, with a small bouquet at its centre. The main flower is surrounded by spirals forming stylised foliage. The neck is accented by a frieze of festoons, a simple line and a frieze of interlacing patterns.
