Water jug with a matching lid
Made of glazed earthenware with a green base. A bulbous, globular body resting on a small, moulded circular foot, featuring a stirrup-shaped handle at the top and a spout with a shell-shaped base. Bears the apocryphal date ‘1797’ engraved on it. The handle is embellished with a frieze of stamped circles.
