Description
Wall-mounted spoon holder
Made of glazed earthenware with an orange base and accents of green and brown. It consists of a triangular-shaped backsplash, adorned along the edge with three identical relief heads of Marianne on either side, forming an openwork design. Two half-pots with bevelled sides and perforated bases sit atop a flat base. The whole piece is decorated with friezes of raised dots, forming a rosette set within a circle on the back panel, surrounded by the date ‘1881’, as well as a cross and the initials ‘PE’ on each pot. The rims are highlighted by the same frieze of dots. Two suspension holes at the top.
