40. 40W Y A Louis XIV commode dite Mazarine in walnut, amaranth and rosewood veneer
Of rectangular shape, it is decorated with marquetry and geometric cartouches. It opens to a four-drawers façade, with sides on bevelled edge and slight bulge on the lower part. Ornamented with re-gilt and chiselled bronzes, some of them later, such as drawer handles, keyholes and feet. Marquetry top following the same decoration, 114cm wide, 61cm deep, 85cm high (44 1/2in wide, 24in deep, 33in high)
