The case supported by seated sphinxes and surmounted by a twin handled foliate wrapped urn, set upon stepped plinths and an ormolu mounted slate base decorated with palmette motifs and mask filled roundels and raised on squab turned feet, the 4.5 inch white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and Arabic five minute markers signed by the maker with gilt bronze hands, the twin train movement striking the hours and half hours via an external count wheel on a polished bell with silk suspension pendulum, currently ticking and striking. 51cm high, 31cm wide, 11cm deep.
