133. 133W A late 18th century French ormolu, blue enamelled and white marble mantel clock
Guiot, a Paris
Signed 5.5 inch circular enamel Roman and Arabic dial, surmounted by a cassolette finial, the sides with lion masks bearing drapery swags, on a scrolled bracket base and shaped rectangular marble plinth with galleried fret backed by blue enamel (dial glass lacking), the movement with flattened circular plates, silk suspension and star-shaped outside countwheel strike on a bell. Together with the pendulum. 44cm high, 26cm wide, 14cm deep
