The olive-branch designs that adorn the programme symbolise the tone of reconciliation that was fundamental to this treatise are by Bernard Naudin (1876 - 1946), a WWI infantry sergeant who became a war illustrator by depicting life in the trenches. His frontline work earned him a knighthood in the Legion of Honor.
