E851, movement no. 1037229, case no. 505050, circa 1954 An attractive, rare and early, 1950s, stainless steel, tonneau-shaped, hand wound, wristwatch with silvered “telephone” design dial, luminous blued steel lozenge hands, blued steel sweep center second, silvered central disc with black triangular index for the alarm, two-crowns. Fitted with a Cal. P489/1, manual winding, rhodium-plated, jeweled mechanical movement, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance with timing screws, blued steel flat balance spring, shock-absorbers, plain case back secured to the case by a screwed steel ring, hesalite crystal. Dial, case and movement signed. Diam. 34.90 mm. Thickness 10.70 mm.
