BREITLING Navitimer Chronomat, Ref. 81950A, case no. 15200, made in the 1980s A very attractive, early, water-resistant, tonneau-shaped, automatic, stainless steel chronograph and chronometer pilot’s wristwatch with two-tone dial, grey with black registers, luminous hands, inner black tachymeter scale, date indication at 3, 12-hour and 30-minute registers, unidirectional revolving brushed steel bezel graduated for 60 units, removable stainless steel Breitling “rouleaux” bracelet. Fitted with a cal. Based Valjoux 7750, mechanical, self-winding, 17 jewels, hack mechanism, screwed steel case back and crown, sapphire crystal. Dial and case signed. Diam. 39 mm. Thickness 14.50 mm. Approx. overall length 180 mm. The present Navitimer Chronomat is a very early and collectible version of the very iconic model of the 1980s. The dial is only signed Breitling (later signed Breitling Geneve or Breitling 1884), and the rotor is not even signed (later signed Breitling or Breitling Chronomat). True icon for an entire generation, the Chronomat has mark the re-birth of the brand in the 1980s and is per sure a piece of Breitling history.
