CHINA, late Qing dynasty (1644–1912) Cricket cage comprising a calabash with an ivory-rimmed mouth and a circular ivory lid. The lid is surmounted by an openwork handle, decorated with a motif of cranes amidst the clouds. H.: 18.5 cm Gross weight: 90 g. Provenance: purchased in 1987 in Hong Kong from an antique dealer. *Specimen made from the ivory of Elephas maximus (Elephantidae), in accordance with the Ministerial Decree of 4 May 2017 authorising the trade in antique ivory from Elephantidae. A CITES authorisation No. FR2600600316-K, issued on 9 June 2026 and valid for the movement of the item solely within the EU, will be provided to the purchaser. In the event of export outside the European Union, a CITES re-export permit must be obtained in advance. The purchaser shall be responsible for the relevant procedures.
