Description
SEVRES, A cabaret set in white and gold porcelain, decorated with arabesques, foliage, a border and a monogram. Mid-19th century. Damage and restoration. One cup has been replaced by a one-litre cup in the style of the Limoges porcelain manufactory. A small 19th-century Saxon jug is included. Provenance: the collection of Pierre BOUDOT (1930–1988). Pierre BOUDOT was a writer, a philosopher specialising in Nietzsche, an essayist, a literary commentator on Radio France, a lecturer in philosophy at the Sorbonne and a friend of, amongst others, Olivier Debré, Pierre Degottex, Marcelle Berr de Turquie, Pierre Rouge and Bernard Rousset.
