A Lyon-style hunting sideboard in moulded and carved walnut, decorated with small flowers and lambrequins, opening via two doors, with a Campan marble top featuring a ‘bec de corbin’ pattern. Regency period. H 92 cm, W: 190 cm, D: 88 cm Provenance: the collection of Pierre BOUDOT (1930–1988). Pierre BOUDOT was a writer, a philosopher specialising in Nietzsche, an essayist, a literary commentator on Radio France, a lecturer in philosophy at the Sorbonne, and a friend of, amongst others, Olivier Debré, Pierre Degottex, Marcelle Berr de Turquie, Pierre Rouge and Bernard Rousset.
