Small ‘Bergère’ chair in moulded, carved and grey-lacquered wood, with a slightly trapezoidal backrest, baluster-style armrests, connecting blocks decorated with daisy motifs, and tapered legs with fluted sides. Stamped ‘A. Gaillard’. Louis XVI period. Upholstered in yellow embossed velvet. 88 x 57 x 41 cm. Normal signs of wear and restoration, with reinforcement around the seat. Antoine GAILLARD, admitted as a master craftsman in 1781.
