PARIS 1798–1809 Silver ‘égoïste’ jug in a baluster shape, plain design. Fretwork forming an inverted spinning top. Body bearing the interlaced monogram ‘FB’. The rim of the lid is decorated with a guilloché ribbon. Turned wooden handle. Rests on three feet with ‘clog’-shaped ends. Second-grade cock hallmark and gross guarantee hallmark for PARIS 1798–1809. Master silversmith’s mark: ‘N.A.F.’ and two joined towers. Total height (including hinge and lid): 16 cm. Total length (including handle): 14.5 cm. Base diameter: 8.4 cm. Maximum body diameter: 7.1 cm. Gross weight: 283 grams
