Description
After Ant. BOUDELLE. – Head of the God Apollo (small model) – Bronze sculpture (lost-wax technique). Height: 41 cm. Originally modelled in clay in 1898, the sculptor returned to this piece in 1900. Left untouched in the studio for nearly two years, it bore the marks of the passage of time. He then chose to make use of these traces – notches, crevices, damage – to give it a new meaning.
