A large tabletop clock with a console featuring Boulle marquetry of tortoiseshell and brass, depicting scrollwork and foliage. A domed top piece surmounted by a bronze figure representing Chronos and his scythe; the circular enamelled dial displays the hours in Roman and Arabic numerals, surrounded by gilded bronze caryatids. Chiselled and gilded bronze fittings; at the base of the case are the three Fates, the spinners of time and life. The corners feature scrollwork of acanthus leaves; the movement is signed DELISLE, Paris. Regency period. (Some damage and missing parts). Height of the clock case: 110 cm / Width 57 cm / Depth 24 cm, approximately. Dimensions of the console: 60 x 43.5 x 26.5 cm, approximately.
