Large folio in loose sheets, illustrated with original colour engravings made with a burin on Arches vellum, numbered 178/275. A two-volume work, with a printed cover with raised lettering, housed in a red cloth slipcase with gold decoration inspired by the Bibliothèque rose series. The first part contains the illustrations, the second the text (168 pages); three of the twenty original engravings are missing (seven of which are lithographs that have been framed).
