Description
Serge DEMARCHI (1934–2026). Set of six exhibition posters from Annecy, Aix-les-Bains, Chambéry, Lausanne and Clermont-Ferrand. Maximum dimensions: 70 x 50 (two posters show minor wear and small tears at the edges) Serge Demarchi (1934–2026), a painter from Aix-les-Bains who was born in Chambéry, developed a figurative body of work sensitive to light and atmosphere. His landscapes of Venice, carnival scenes and hushed interiors are imbued with a poetic melancholy. His work has been exhibited, notably, at the Musée Faure in Aix-les-Bains and the Espace Malraux in Chambéry.
