CHEST OF DRAWERS with a curved front and sides, projecting uprights, and all surfaces finished in rosewood veneer inlaid with a curly pattern within rosewood frames; it opens to reveal three drawers in three rows and stands on curved legs. Top in reddish-brown Flemish marble. Ornamentation comprising bronze pull handles, lock plates, finials and feet. Stamped H. HANSEN and JME. Louis XV–Louis XVI transitional period. (Chips to the veneer and restoration to the marble) 90.5 x 132 x 63 cm Hubert HANSEN, admitted as a master cabinetmaker on 12 June 1747.
