[ERNI] VALÉRY [Paul] – SIMPLE REFLECTIONS ON THE BODY, which inspired Hans Erni’s original lithographs. Paris, E.A.D. (Robert Blanchet), 1967. Folio (approx. 43x32cm). Unbound, in a white cover embossed with a spider’s web pattern and a gilt roundel, in the publisher’s slipcase lined with black suede-like material, with the title on the spine and front cover. Illustrated with 25 original lithographs by Hans ERNI, most in colour, printed by Mourlot; text hand-set in Baskerville. Limited and numbered edition. This copy is no. 266, one of 190 copies on Rives vellum (nos. 137–326). Good condition. Interior very fresh; slipcase tarnished and mottled with foxing.
