A planters with an undulating shape, in chiselled and gilded bronze, with polychrome cloisonné enamels featuring a polychrome foliage scroll motif on a midnight blue background, and inlaid veined onyx panels (cracks, chips and restoration). Decorated with knotted ribbons, garlands of flowers, foliage, lion’s muzzles (rings missing), a frieze of pearls and godrons. Minor chips and restoration.
Carved feet with cloisonné enamelling matching the design. Nineteenth-century work in the Barbedienne style. H: 23, W: 36, D: 13 cm.
