Description
A Comic, Picturesque, Humorous, Critical & Scandalous Almanac.
P., Pagnerre, 1848/1882, 52 volumes, in-32, paperback.
Volumes 7, 11 to 44, 46 to 48, 50 to 60, 63, 64. One volume is unbound with a missing spine; the set is otherwise in good condition.
It contains previously unpublished articles by Henry Monnier. The *Almanach Comique* is not yet a hundred years old, but it has already briskly passed the fifty-year mark and seems set to remain the most widely read and most prized of the popular almanacs. (Carteret-2282)
