System cane - dagger cane (concealed dagger). Wooden cane with cylindrical shaft, concealing a steel blade with a triangular cross-section (stylus type), unscrewing at the pommel. The metal pommel is finely carved with figurative decoration depicting a hand holding floral or plant elements, topped by an ornate knob in relief. The decorative frame is of fine quality, with an antique patina. The inner blade, triangular in cross-section, is tapered and in good condition, with traces of oxidation. A late 19th century or early 20th century piece, typical of defence or curiosity canes. Blade length 29 cm, overall length 86 cm.
