Collection of photographs of the 17th Bomb Group (Bombing raids on Italy, France and Germany) A collection of 77 photographs (most of them large format, approx. 20x20cm, all stuck onto cardboard sheets of the photo-album type) depicting bombing raids carried out by the B-26s of the 17th Bomb Group between June 1944 and April 1945. Most of the targets bombed were marshalling yards and road or railway bridges in Italy, France and Germany, sometimes with remarkable precision, as the photographs show. A few targets were located by the sea in ports or along the coast.
