Description
Lot of photographs from the USAAF exhibition at the Eiffel Tower, Paris (3 original negatives + 3 modern colour prints made from the negatives, exhibition booklet) A set of original photographs and modern prints relating to the exhibition of American aircraft beneath the Eiffel Tower and on the Champs de Mars, which took place in August and September 1945. One press photograph (8x10in./20x25cm) alongside two photographs taken from the first floor of the Eiffel Tower whilst the exhibition was being set up. Two prints of extremely rare colour photographs of this exhibition, printed from the original negatives, complete this lot, which also includes the original exhibition brochure.
