Description
Type G-2 anti-G suit (size Small-Long) Manufacturer: The Berger Bros. Co. Type G-2 anti-G suit manufactured by The Berger Bros and standardised in June 1944. It is fitted with shoulder straps and two long zips along the legs, making it easy to put on and take off. The inflation system consists of five rubber bladders distributed as follows: two on the legs, two on the thighs and one on the abdomen, held in place by a wide internal belt acting as a corset. The whole assembly is connected to a network of flexible rubber hoses, the external connection for which – cut off on this example – is on the left-hand side. The suit is adjustable via laces at the back of the calves and around the waist. It is available in four sizes. The one offered for sale is a Small Long. All the zips are in working order. This is a rare model, featured on page 81 of the book (Mathieu Bianchi Collection)
