AN-6519-1 life jacket Manufacturer: Firestone R&L Prod. Co. March 1945 The AN-6519-1 life jacket is made from rubberised canvas and inflates using two CO₂ cartridges contained within percussion-type triggers. The AN-6519-1 model is identical to the B-4 model apart from a minor change to the attachment carabiner. It is a model used by both the USAAF and the USN, which first appeared in February 1944.
