Description
M-1938 Field Jacket (size 40) US Army M-1938 combat jacket, known as the ‘Parsons’, which differs from the M-1941 model in that it has no shoulder tabs and features pocket flaps. The jacket is made of cotton poplin lined with brown wool. The label is missing, but the size corresponds to a US 40. The jacket is in good condition. It has a lovely colour with a few very localised marks of soiling. There is some wear to the cuffs and a repair to the collar (hand-sewn). The Talon zip is functional over 90 per cent of its length, as a few teeth are missing at the top. All the buttons are present. (Mathieu Bianchi Collection)
